4月23日～30日にニコニコ超会議2022にて 「イソギンチャクの『白化』現象を200時間科学する春の自由研究＠ニコニコ超会議2022」が生放送されました。当研究所のアウトリーチ活動の一環として毎年人気のこの企画は、今回はイソギンチャクをテーマに行われました。阿形清和所長・新規モデル生物開発室の岸本真理子特任研究員・分野横断研究ユニットの高橋弘樹助教・WUDARSKI, Jakub特任助教・バイオイメージング解析室の亀井保博准教授・アストロバイオロジーセンターの滝澤謙二准教授・新規モデル生物開発室の重信秀治教授ら多くの方々にご協力いただきました。

NIBB presented a 200-hour live streaming program in collaboration with Niconico. It's one of the most popular outreach activities in NIBB. The theme was the bleaching phenomenon of sea anemones, and the audience observed several species of sea anemones and zooxanthellae. There were various types of lectures held by the NIBB staff every day.


 

 3月4日にJakub Wudarski特任助教が、県立岡崎北高等学校にて出前授業を行いました。

 授業は全て英語で行われました。前半はコスモサイエンスコースの生徒たち向けに、母国のポーランドの話や、現在に至るまでの経歴を話した後、主に研究内容について紹介しました。生徒たちは、初めて知ることがいっぱいでとても刺激を受けたと話していました。

 後半は放課後の英語部の活動として行われ、普通科の生徒も多いことから、主にポーランドについて紹介しました。行事や食べ物の話の後だけでなく、歴史の話では現在周辺の国々で起こっている問題についても説明しました。タイムリーな話題に、生徒たちだけでなく先生方も興味深く聞き入っていました。
 

 On March 4, Dr. Jakub Wudarski, a specially appointed assistant professor, gave onsite lectures to the students of Okazaki-Kita High School. 

 In the first two classes, the lecture was held for the science course students. It was about his country, Poland, career, and mainly his research. The students said that there were full of new things and it was so stimulating for them.

 Then he gave a talk to the students in the English club as an after-school activity. It mainly talked about Poland. Not only events, food, and so on, but the topic of history as well, which led to an understanding of the conflict currently occurring in the surrounding countries.
