The Okazaki campus (National Institute for Basic Biology, National Institute for Physiological Sciences, and Exploratory Research Center on Life and Living Systems) has a variety of microscopes and imaging equipment. This page lists the microscopes mainly in the Optical Analysis Room. At the end of this page, we also provide a list of common/common microscopes managed by other laboratories and facilities. Leica STED in ExCELLS

The Leica STED 3X FALCON in the Yamate 3rd bldg. 5th floor is the common equipment of ExCELLS (Exploratory Research Center on Life and Living Systems), not our facility's.

Zeiss Lightsheet Z.1 (Lightsheet microscope)

TEM technical support service

We don't have transmitted electron microscope (TEM), but offer their technical service, such as sample preparation, observation, and machine usage, especially about plant sample.
