NIBB and the Centre for Organismal Studies (COS) Heidelberg, Germany, have renewed their academic exchange agreement. NIBB and COS Heidelberg established a five-year academic exchange agreement in 2019, through which they've conducted several collaborative research projects and facilitated mutual visits by researchers and students.
In July 2024, Dr. Kiyokazu Agata, Director General of the National Institute for Basic Biology, and Professor Dr. Thomas Greb, Managing Director of COS Heidelberg, signed a renewed agreement between their respective institutes. Following this, a ceremony for the agreement renewal was held at
the 2nd NIBB-COS Joint Workshop, in which seven PIs, two post-docs, and two PhD students from COS Heidelberg participated.
