開催趣意・メッセージ
 小型魚類研究会が初めて開催されたのは20年ほど前、1995年ここ岡崎の地でした。当時慶応義塾大学講師をされていた岡本仁先生、名古屋大学助教授をされていた武田洋幸先生らが中心になって本研究会を立ち上げられました。その後何度か岡崎にて開催されていますが、その間に小型魚類を取り巻く環境は大きく変わってきました。様々な技術開発や学術的知見が積み上げられ、また、ナショナルバイオリソースプロジェクト(NBRP)も立ち上がり、メダカ、ゼブラフィッシュともにアクティビティの高いバイオリソースとして評価されています。一方で、数年前からゲノム編集技術が様々な生物種に応用され、「モデル」と「非モデル」の差が無くなりつつあり、メダカ、ゼブラフィッシュはモデルであるという優位性のみでは魅力を失うことになります。本研究会は、研究分野ではなく生物種としてのコミュニティを形成し、分野横断的な議論を行える研究会であり、日本国内における小型魚類を使った様々な分野の研究を牽引する役割を果たしてきました。NBRPメダカ・ゼブラフィッシュも第3期の最終年(12年目)となり、小型魚類コミュニティとして現状の総括と言えば大げさですが、例年の公募講演を中心とした発表は少なめにし、注目すべき研究、これから広がる研究を幾つか紹介するような形式の研究会にしたいと思います。
 また、今回はNBRPメダカ・ゼブラフィッシュの国際シンポジウムとJoint開催し、Keynote Lecturer 並びに氏名講演者も海外から3名ほど招待する予定です。さらに、メダカ・ゼブラフィッシュの基礎技術と先端技術の国際トレーニングコースも同時期に基生研で開催しますので、そこに参加する海外・国内の若手研究者16名にも研究会に参加して頂き、日本の小型魚類研究を知って頂ければと思いますし、国内の若手研究者には海外の研究者との議論や、新たなネットワーク作りの場となればと思います。
 さらに、サテライト研究会として、第2回「ユニークな少数派実験動物を扱う若手研究者が最新アプローチを勉強する会」(日本語)も開催いたします。こちらは、興味ある生命現象からその生物を使って現象の解明を目指す研究者の会ですが、モデル小型魚類を使う研究者に「現象から入る研究」を再認識して、モデル生物の意義を再考する機会となるかと思います。また、少数派の方々には最新の技術を学べる場となるかと思います。両研究会は連続して開催しますので、是非とも両方に参加頂き、生物学の面白さを再認識して気持ちもあらたに日々の研究に取り組もうと思える研究会にできればと思います。

今回の研究会では、(1)Keynote Lecture 3演題(招待講演)、(2)プログラム委員指名講演8演題(国内・海外)、(3)一般公募口頭発表16-20演題、(4)一般公募ポスター発表50演題を予定しています。全て英語での発表をお願いします。 基本的にテーマは問いませんが、できる限りフレッシュ(プレリミナリーでも可)で、議論が盛り上がるような話題を期待しています。研究室の目玉研究の発表をご検討下さい。
口頭発表、あるいはポスター発表の希望を明記の上、要旨をご提出頂き選考し、発表者を決定いたします。口頭発表希望でもポスターになる場合があるかと思いますがご了承のほどお願い致します。 発表応募は締め切りました。たくさんのご応募をありがとうございました。 口頭・ポスター発表選考結果は7/15に応募者に通知させて頂きます。
2.参加登録等に関して(2次参加登録は締切は8月9日)
参加費は3,000円(学生は無料)、懇親会費は3,500円、2日目(21日)の昼食(弁当)500円の予定です。 「ユニークな少数派。」にも是非参加下さい。こちらは参加費無料、茶菓子代500円、懇親会3,000円、3日目(22日)の昼食(弁当)500円の予定です。


旅費サポートに関して
 海外留学中の若手研究者の帰国発表サポートを検討しています。具体的な金額等は候補者数などに依存しますので、一部サポートとお考え下さい。口頭発表が必須となります。


 会場に関して
会場は岡崎カンファレンスセンター(OCC)大会議室(講演)、中会議室(ポスター・懇親会)です。大会議室は200席(30名程度の立ち見が可能)ですので、参加登録は200人程度で締切予定です。
各方面からのアクセスは基生研HPにあります。


 宿泊施設
今回研究所ロッジは国際トレーニングコース等のため空室がありませんので募集いたしません。参加者各自で近隣ホテルのご予約をお願い致します。
