Xeronemataceae　クセロネマ科

クセロネマ科は１属２種からなり、ニューカレドニア島とニュージーランドのPoor Knights Islandに自生する。

The Xeronemataceae is composed of a genes including two species. They are distributed in New Caledonia and the Poor Knights Island in New Zealand.

花被と雄蕊はともに赤色で目立つが、花被の方が寿命が短く、花粉放出後も雄蕊はしばらく枯れずに残っている。花序全体として後で咲く花への訪花昆虫の誘因に役立っているのかもしれない。

The long lasting stout stamens may function to attract pollinators for later flowers.
