The AI Facility supports biological research through AIbased data analysis such as deep learning and machine learning. We cover the entire research process including consulting on research plans using AI analysis, providing AI programs, and using GPU servers. AI-based data analysis is opening up areas that have been difficult to tackle by human hands alone. Recently, AI analysis is not necessarily limited to big data, but can also handle relatively small data. In addition, the barriers to the introduction of AI have been greatly lowered by the availability of computing resources and AI libraries, so please consider actively utilizing AI technology. Any digital data, including video images of plants and animals, bioimaging data such as microscopic images of cells, and various types of omics data, can be subject to AI analysis. We also welcome collaborative research in collaboration with other facilities of the National Institute for Basic Biology inside and outside the Trans-Scale Biology Center.

AI is Columbus‘ egg.
It all depends on your ideas. AI can be used in a variety of fields.
