Response to the novel coronavirus disease

NIBB, NIPS, IMS, ExCELLS have formulated the Guideline for Preventing the COVID-19 Outbreaks of the National Institute of Natural Science and decided to implement Level 2 activity restrictions. (Continue until May 31th)
As the Core Research Facilities at NIBB, we will respond as follows.

To Collaborative Researchers

• Please postpone or cancel your visit until May 31th. This period may be prolonged according to the circumstance.

• We can discuss about your research through on-line tool, such as Skype and Zoom. Please contact us, if you wish.

To Researchers in NIBB, NIPS, IMS and ExCELLS

【Request for confirmation】
In order to enter the Level 2 area, it is stipulated in the activity guideline that permission from your laboratory PI is obtained. Please check again.

• The SBI staff are now working on home by turns. Please use any SBI equipment by yourselves in this period.
• If you’re having trouble using any SBI equipment, please contact by e-mail except in case of emergency.
• Please refrain from using the equipment for the first time during this period, if possible.
• Please disinfect your hands and fingers with ethanol before entering the microscope rooms.
• If you have a cough, please wear a mask.
• If you have a fever or feel poor physical condition, please don’t use any equipment in SBI.
• If you have a fever after within a few days of use any equipment in SBI, please let us know. In that case, we are going to disinfect the equipment you used and the room you entered.
