The 10th NIBB International Practical Course

Genome Editing and Imaging
of Fish and Amphibians

Message

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to inform you that the theme of the 10th NIBB international practical course will be “Genome Editing and Imaging of Fish and Amphibians”.

Recently, the value of aquatic animals in experimental systems and as materials has been markedly increasing because of the remarkable development of genome/transcriptome resources and powerful transgenesis/genome-editing technologies. Now such advancements allow one not only to perform high-resolution analytical studies using a single model species, but also to investigate the biological diversity and underlying fundamental mechanisms using multiple species ranging from teleosts to anurans and urodeles.

The objective of this training course is to develop next-generation researchers who can apply the abovementioned cross-platform approach in the expanding fields of genetics, genomics, developmental biology, regenerative medicine and evolutionary biology.

Guest speakers will discuss these emerging topics and new fields of biology. It is hoped that informal interaction among participants will facilitate further expansion of research networks.

We hope you take the opportunity to take part in this enjoyable and informative event!
