From Central Japan International Airport (Centrair: NGO)
 

Take the CHITA BUS bound for Okazaki Station and get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (approximately 1 hour from the airport). The Institute is a 7 minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area) on the south side of the station.

From Narita International Airport (NRT)
  Recommended:
Transfer to a domestic flight to Central Japan International Airport.
  Alternative:
Take the JR Narita Express line and get off at Tokyo Station (approximately 1 hour). Please follow the directions provided below after arriving at Tokyo Station.
 
From Tokyo Station
 

Take a HIKARI or KODAMA Tokaido Shinkansen* ('bullet train') and get off at Toyohashi Station (approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes). At Toyohashi Station, change to the Meitetsu Railways Line (track #3)**. Take any train (the LIMITED EXPRESS trains are the fastest, LOCAL trains are the slowest) and get off at Higashi Okazaki Station, which is approximately 20 minutes from Toyohashi Station by LIMITED EXPRESS. The Institute is a 7 minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area) on the south side of the station.
  *Note: there are three types of Shinkansen: NOZOMI, HIKARI, and KODAMA.
・KODAMA trains stop in Toyohashi
・Only one HIKARI train stops there every two hours. 
・No NOZOMI trains stop in Toyohashi.
**Note: Japan Rail (JR), which also operate the Shinkansen, and Meitetsu Railways, are two separate companies which use separate train lines, though both are accessed through the same station building. You will need to buy a separate ticket in order to board the Meitetsu train.
  Alternative:

Take a Tokaido Shinkansen NOZOMI and get off at Nagoya Station (approximately 2 hours). Transfer to the Meitetsu Railways’ LIMITED EXPRESS or RAPID LIMITED EXPRESS (track #4) bound for Toyohashi and get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (approximately 30 minutes). The Institute is a 7 minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area) on the south side of the station.

 
From Kansai International Airport (KIX)
 

Take the JR Haruka airport shuttle train from Kansai Airport to Shin-Osaka Station (approximately 45 minutes) and change to the Tokyo-bound Tokaido Shinkansen*. At Nagoya Station (approximately 1 hour from Shin-Osaka Station) transfer to the Meitetsu Railways’ LIMITED EXPRESS (track #4) bound for Toyohashi and get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (approximately 30 minutes). The Institute is a 7 minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area) on the south side of the station.

*Note: All Tokyo-bound Tokaido Shinkansen trains stop at Nagoya.
