On behalf of the organizing committee we are delighted to invite you to the NIBB-EMBL Joint Meeting "Frontiers in Bioimaging", which will be held in Okazaki, Japan, from March 22 to 23, 2006. This joint meeting is a part of the international collaboration program between National Institute for Basic Biology (NIBB) and European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). This particular meeting is of significant importance for the field of bioimaging and the program will highlight emerging and innovative technologies of bioimaging and their practical applications in biology. The sessions of the meeting will include such cutting edge topics as the invention of new fluorescent and bioluminescent reagents for bioimaging, and microscopes with new concepts and their application in biology that uses living cells and model organisms.
