The department is composed of two regular divisions and
two adjunct divisions. The study of this department is directed
towards molecular mechanisms for the development and functioning
of the central nervous systems in vertebrates, and also
those for the signal transduction of plants and microorganisms
with respect to the environmental factors, such as light,
temperature and salinity.
