\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30b9\u30d6\u30eb\u30b2\u30ea\u30a2\u79d1\u306f\u5358\u7cfb\u5c5e\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30a4\u30af\u30bb\u30eb\u30d0\u5c5e\u3068\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30b9\u30d6\u30eb\u30b2\u30ea\u30a2\u5c5e\u304b\u3089\u306a\u308b\u3002Ixerba brexioides<\/em>\u306f\u30cb\u30e5\u30fc\u30b8\u30fc\u30e9\u30f3\u30c9\u56fa\u6709 (Schneider 2006)\u3001Strasburgeria callianatha<\/em>\u306f\u30cb\u30e5\u30fc\u30ab\u30ec\u30c9\u30cb\u30a2\u56fa\u6709 (Dickison 2006) \u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n

The Strasburgeriaceae includes two monospecific genera, Ixerba<\/em> and Strasburgeria<\/em>. Ixerba brexioides<\/em> and Strasburgeria calliantha<\/em> are endemic in New Zealand and New Caledonia, respectively.<\/p>\n

Fallen fruits are rotted and dehisced at the septicidal planes. It is easy to break the fruit at the septicidal planes, but is very difficult to cut at the loculicidal parts even with a knife because of massive fibers originated from vasculatures. Seeds are possible to be picked from the inner ridge of the quadrant fruit.<\/p>\n

(2003)\u306f\u30be\u30a6\u306b\u4f3c\u3066\u65b0\u5927\u9678\u3067\u7d76\u6ec5\u3057\u305fgomphotheres\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u5927\u578b\u307b\u4e73\u985e\u304c\u679c\u5b9f\u3092\u98df\u3079\u3001\u7a2e\u5b50\u6563\u5e03\u306b\u5bc4\u4e0e\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u304b\u3068\u8003\u5bdf\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n

Epidermal and ground tissue of fruits are decayed but fibers remain more than one year. The decayed fruits are still very hard. Any seeds were not germinated in this locality. It is unknown why Strasburgeria form such large, sweet-smelled, and hard fruits. Carpenter et al. (2003) speculated that there were large mammals like gomphotheres (Janzen and Martin 1982) that ate the fruits and contributed to seed dispersal.<\/p>\n
