私の目標は、種を超えて利用可能な発生工学の技術を確立し、
多様な動物の遺伝資源を細胞レベルで保存することです。

これまでの研究
ニワトリとウズラをモデルとし、始原生殖細胞の操作に関する技術体系をまとめあげ、鳥類の遺伝資源の保存法を確立しました。これら一連の技術を利用して様々な家禽品種の保存に取り組んでいます。

現在の研究
マウスをモデルとし、宿主の精巣に移植したドナー精子幹細胞の振舞いを細胞レベルで理解し、さらにそれを制御することで、現在非常に低い精子幹細胞の移植効率を実用可能なレベルまで向上させることに挑戦しています。
