Access From Central Japan International Airport Get on the Meitetsu airport bus bound for JR Okazaki Station and get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (approximately one hour from the airport). The Institute is a 7-minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area) or 20-minute walk (Yamate-area) on the south side of the station. "AIRPORT BUS SCHEDULE" From Narita (Tokyo) International Airport Transfer to a domestic flight to Central Japan International Airport (Centrair : NGO). Alternative: Take JR Narita Express and get off at Tokyo Station (approximately 1hour). From JR Tokyo Station Take the Tokaido Shinkansen* and get off at Toyohashi Station (approximately 2 and a half hours). At Toyohashi Station, change to the Meitetsu Line (track #3)**. Get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (approximately 20 minutes form Toyohashi). Turn left (south) at the ticket barrier and exit the station. The Institute is a 7-minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area) or 20-minute walk (Yamate-area). *Note: there are three types of shinkansen: NOZOMI, HIKARI, and KODAMA. All KODAMA trains stop in Toyohashi, of the HIKARI trains only one stops there every two hours, and no NOZOMI trains stop in Toyohashi. **Note: Japan Rail (JR) and Meitetsu are two separate train lines, though both are accessed through the same station building. You will need to buy a separate ticket in order to ride the Meitetsu train. Alternative: Take the Tokaido Shinkansen NOZOMI and get off at Nagoya Station (approximately 2hours). Take the Meitetsu Railways LIMITED EXPRESS (track #4) bound for Toyohashi and get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (32min). From Kansai (Osaka) International Airport Take the JR 'Haruka' airport shuttle train from Kansai Airport to Shin-Osaka Station (approximately 45 minutes) and change to the Tokyo-bound Tokaido shinkansen* ('bullet train'). At JR Nagoya Station (approximately one hour from Shin-Osaka Station) change to the Meitetsu Line's Toyohashi-bound Limited Express train. Get off at Higashi Okazaki Station (approximately 30 minutes from Nagoya). Turn left (south) at the ticket barrier and exit the station. The Institute is a 7-minute walk up the hill (Myodaiji-area). *Note: all of the Tokyo-bound Tokaido shinkansen trains stop at Nagoya.
